terms and names- 

civil war- a war between citizens of the same country.


Julius Caesar- a Roman statesman and military general who played a critical role in the events that led to the demise of the Roman Republic and the rise of the Roman Empire


triumvirate- group of three men holding power, in particular ( the First Triumvirate ) the unofficial coalition of Julius Caesar, Pompey, and Crassus in 60 BC and ( the Second Triumvirate ) a coalition formed by Antony, Lepidus, and Octavian in 43 BC.


Augustus- a Roman statesman and military leader who became the first emperor of the Roman Empire, reigning from 27 BC until his death in AD 14. His status as the founder of the Roman Principate has consolidated an enduring legacy as one of the most effective and controversial leaders in human history


Pax Romana- the peace which existed between nationalities within the Roman Empire.

2. Which category of the Roman Empire do you feel was most significant? Why?
Herophilos (335-280 BCE), who was the first to base medical conclusions on dissection of the human body and to describe the nervous system. This was when they first started getting into the science behind the human body and made a large impact on science at the time.
